Dissecting Salmonella Serotype Patterns: A Comparative Study Between Poultry Industry Sources and Clinical Samples in the PulseNet Database

The Clear Safety Salmonella application is an important tool for foodborne pathogen surveillance and the formulation of risk-based mitigation strategies. Using anonymized data collected to date, the assay was found to be an extremely effective tool for co-infection / co-contamination detection, highlighting the the potential risks / harm of traditional testing methodologies, which are designed for the surveillance and monitoring of only a single Salmonella serotype from food and environmental samples.
