Implementation and Evaluation of the Clear Dx™ Platform to Sequence SARS-CoV-2 Genomes in a Public Health Laboratory

City of Milwaukee Health Department demonstrated that the fully automated Clear Dx™ WGS SARS-CoV-2 platform plays a crucial role in establishing near real-time genomic surveillance capabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. The system’s significantly shorter turnaround time, reduced from 2 weeks to an average of 5 days from the date of specimen collection, positively impacted public health response for outbreak investigation and surveillance activities.
